Lord,

in the midst of the pandemic,

in the midst of our gloomy and desperate state,

You raise our spirits through Hidilyn Diaz.

Through her you remind us that if we have faith it doesn't

mean that life would all be easy.

Rather, it is, in fact, a striving to be the best that we can

be, the best for our families, the best

for our school community, the best for our country.

And through her you remind us that this very best is your

gift.

May her example inspire and guide us to seek

what is best, what faith requires, what hope dares, what love

inspires, what is for your greater glory. Amen.
